Solange Dias is one of the world's most highly
recognised dancers and
choreographers of Modern Lambada. Qualified with the
UKA Alliance, she has
been teaching and performing internationally for 15
years and has appeared
numerous times on television. A leading figure in the
Lambada world, she is
known for her original, sensual style and the passionate
energy she brings
to the dance.
Solange is from Porto Seguro, Brazil, where Lambada
originates. She has
performed and taught worldwide but, after a spell in
Italy, she moved to
London and has been based there for the last 10 years.
She has won both the
World Lambada and Salsa Championships (Lambada 1995
and Salsa in 2001) and
is also an experienced teacher and performer of Samba.
She is involved with many international projects and
has worked with
schools, theatre, film and television. She was a performer
and consultant on
Strictly Dance Fever 2005 and 2006 and has appeared
in many music videos
including ones for Basement Jaxx, Marc Almond, Victor
Manuel, Viramundo and
Simply Red.
Solange's passion for Zouk-Lambada is evident in both
her teaching style and
in her powerful performances. She has an ability to
both encourage and
inspire her students whilst commanding focus and commitment.
Both she and
Berg are dedicated to promoting and developing Lambada
worldwide.
Braz
Dos Santos was one of the leading dancers of the
famous group ³Grupo Kaoma² which
has introduced Lambada all over the world in 1989.
During 1989 till 1994 he has lead the dancing group
of Kaoma and brought
Lambada to 64 nations.
He is well know because of his remarkable energy and
has participated at
several Lambada congresses worldwide

SALSA & KIZOMBA
night is going from strength to strength @
the Sports Cafe,
now running 2 levels of KIZOMBA at 8pm (beginners &
improvers). In addition to that, we are really excited
about our new fortnightly classes from April. We have
just announced the launch of our ZOUK/Lambada workshops
alternating with Kizomba at the Sports Cafe from bank-holiday
Monday 5th April with ANDY WITT & LUCY
POWER (DancaLatina.co.uk). Unfortunately
this will take the place of the Ladies Styling classes,
but don't despair ladies, Loreta will be teaching another
regular class in Wolverhampton after she finishes her
tour with Darlin in April,  plus
we will also be re-launching  new
Ladies Styling classes when she returns from dance
training in the US in the summer. If you haven't tried
our Mondays yet, and still want to have a go, just turn
up and join in the special workshops at 8pm, or Salsa
workshops at 9pm.

with his dance troupe in a scintillating performance,
is the youthful, talented rising star and
guitarist, Sam Ayling.
Michael
y los Mandrelles was formed in 2006 from a
dedicated group of salsa teachers and students,
all participating on Michael's 'La Rueda'
courses. Since their formation, every year
they have performed meticulously choreographed
showcases for promoters and corporate organisations
including Salsa Republic, Salsa Explosion,
Salsa Calientita, Mambo City, Salsa Tap, Ola
Latina, Hot Salsa, Salsa Cd, Orchard Academy,
KISS (Keep It Strickly Salsa) Ltd, World Duty
Free, as well as private functions and weddings.
Their
latest performance 'Debajo de un Alamo' has
been described as 'Romantic', 'Refreshing'
and 'Unexpected'!!! A breath of fresh air
in a dance environment which has lost it's
creative edge and innovative ideas.
